Forest Friends

February 16th, 2011

A forest morning is quiet and calm
With Chase and Cheese it won't be for long
They're scurrying here, they're scurrying there
Waking up Owl and the old Snowshoe Hare

Under and over, up high and down low
The forest friends play and sing as they go
Chattering, squeeking and screeching about
We're having fun! They yell and they shout!

Quiet! hoots Owl. You're making a racket!
If you don't quit I'll tell Yellow Jacket!
And suddenly halted the forest friends' play
We don't want to get stung! Alright and ok.

Oh me and oh my they say both together
We better calm down by the look of Owl's feathers
Ok let's be quiet and sit nice and still
Pretend we're flowers and rocks until...

Oh look at that! There goes the sun!
Time sure flies when you're having such fun.
See you Chase! See you Cheese! Let's play again!
Of course we will! We're the bestest of friends!
